Here at Blackhawk K-9, we pride ourselves in our experience with training Service Dogs for clients with Disabilities. If you select our team to train your service dog, we will begin with a 3 month Raise & Train. From there we will give you our recommendation on whether or not you and your dog will need additional months of Raise & Train or if you can continue with private lessons and/or group training.Depending on your dog’s current training level and temperament, we may be able to reach your goals with some of our other less intensive services.

Our Board and Train program (RNT) is an intensive dog-training program that focuses on the fundamentals of sit, down, and place all with implied stay commands along with a recall (come command) and loose leash walking. For our behavior modification, we focus on changing the emotional state of the dog as well as building confidence in order to at least manage the aggression. All RNTs live in the home with the trainer while we work towards our goals! We offer RNTs that range from 2 month programs to 6 month programs depending on the type of training or behavior modification that is requested. Each RNT is specific to the individual dog and what you are looking for from your dog!

Join us in our individual training sessions with our expert dog trainers to strengthen your skills, confidence, and bond with your dog. You will see the change in your dog from the get-go. Our private lessons provide you with all the skills you will need to train your dog! With individual attention to you and your dog we will fine tune your sit-stay, down-stay, place, off (disengage), loose leash, recall and adding distance, distractions, and duration! We can do lessons at your home (for local clients), at our facility, or we may take field trips to work on our obedience in different environments!

Group training is a great alternative to private lessons! We offer a variety of group classes including: Puppy Classes, Basic obedience, Advanced obedience, CGC Preparation, and E-Collar Education
